Methodist Market
October 1 & 2, 2010
The Methodist Market will soon be here. Some of the items that are needed are: needlework, baby items, crafts, dolls, flower & wreaths, baked goods, and items for “One More Time” there will also be an auction. If you have any questions, you may contact Nadine Clevenger, Beth Hicks or Martha Balman. Your contributions would be greatly appreciated to help us have a successful market this year.

Come & Meet Our
New District Superintendent
On Tuesday, August 24¸ our new District Superintendent, Steve Cox, will meet with members of our congregation at 6:00 p.m. A light meal will be provided. At 7:00 p.m. there will be an “Open Meeting” with other area United Methodist churches who wish to attend.
Choir News Calling all singers and hand bell ringers. We are ready to start our rehearsals for Chancel Choir and Hand Bell Choir. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, August 25. Hand bell rehearsal is at 5:45 in the bell room on the second floor of the church. Choir rehearsal is at 6:30 in the choir room on the first floor of the church. The Chancel choir’s first performance for a church service will be Sunday, September 12.
Both groups need members, so please consider joining us. You will find that both groups are very friendly and enjoy making music for the church. If you have any questions, feel free to call Opal, any choir or hand bell member, the church office, or Rev. Smith. Looking forward to a good year of music for our church.

Our Sympathy
We would like to extend our most sincere sympathy to the family of Isaiah Nash, 21 yr. old nephew of Mary Bidding who passed into eternity recently in Colorado.
Also to Jennifer Lathrop in the recent death of her grandmother, Joyce Weber.
We extend our sympathy to Bill & Bonnie George in the recent passing of Bill’s mother, Pansy George who passed into eternity on July 25, 2010.
Congratulations
We would like to congratulate Amanda (Minnick) & Christopher Amdur on their recent marriage. The ceremony took place in Springfield on Saturday, July 10, 2010.

We welcome Bill Gilbert into our church family. Bill joined our congregation July 25th by reprofessing his faith.
